Slow motion fire translated into a symmetrical pattern and used to extrude and light 3D geometry.

Lights in the sky captured via drone, used as a base for experiments in symmetry and time displacement.

Ground patterns captured by drone and re-arrayed.

This video the first piece in my 'transposition' series. It's the result of processing and reprocessing data, in this case a kaleidoscopic video of slow motion fire mapped onto 3D geometry as displacement and illumination.

Part of my 'transposition' series, slow motion video of fire was translated into a symmetrical pattern and then projected into 3D, extruding and casting light based on its luminance.

I like to shoot slow motion videos of fire and turn them into geometric, textural patterns.

Power poles and a stunning sunset.
